Hellenistic and Roman Age

Bozkır region was ruled by Persian principalities from the middle of the VI century BCE to the last quarter of the IV century BCE. In the Hellenistic Age (333-31 BCE), Bozkır and its surroundings were under the control of Macedonian King Alexander the Great (Alexandros). It is possible to find traces of wars and experiences that have taken place since these ancient times in Bozkır and its surroundings. The triumphal arch erected in Zengibar Castle in honor of the Roman Emperor Hadrian is one of the most important examples of these traces.
