
Akmanastir, also known as Hagios Khariton and Deyr-i Eflatun (Plato's Monastery), is in the Sille Neighborhood in Selçuklu District of Konya. Its connection to Plato is based on a narrative from Evliya Çelebi's Travel Book. It was carved into a light-colored rock in the late 8th century in commemoration of Hagios Khariton, who lived in the 3rd-4th centuries and was originally from Konya, according to an inscription discovered in the monastery in earlier years.
