Alaeddin Hill is a mound in the center of the city. Excavations on this hill, which has been known since the Prehistoric Period, have revealed extremely beautiful artifacts from ancient times. In the Byzantine period, the inner castle was on this hill and its walls surrounded the foot of the hill. Alaeddin Mosque and mansion were built on this hill. A decision for greening of the hill was taken by the Municipality in the 1950s. Today it is a hill with woodland, pines and lawn. There are also family tea gardens on the hill. The panoramic view of the city can be enjoyed on this hill. The city's historical water reservoir and the Unknown Soldier Monument are also here.
