The Blue Tunnel is located between the Konya Closed Basin and the Yukarı Göksu Basin. The first surveys of the Blue Tunnel, which provides the transfer of the waters of the Göksu River to the Konya Plain, were carried out in 1960 and its construction began in 2009. In the tunnel, which was opened in April 2012, water flow was provided for the first time on 22 May 2015.
