Güneysınır, The Lavender Land 


Güneysınır District is located in the transition zone of the Konya Plain to the Mediterranean Region, 71 kilometers from the provincial center of Konya, in the south of the Taurus Mountains that separate the Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean Region. Güneysınır, whose northern parts are flat and south and western parts are mountainous, is a unique Turkmen settlement where Oghuz Turks, especially Avşar, Kınık and Kayı tribes are densely settled.
