The mosque is on Tevfikiye Street in the center of Konya. Its original name is İhyaiyye, and since it is located around one of the doors of the old Konya Castle, it is called Kapu Mosque. The mosque was built for the first time in 1658 by Pir Hüseyin Çelebi, who was one of the Sheikhs of the Mevlevi Lodge. This mosque, which was destroyed after a while, was renovated by Konya Mufti Esenlilerlizade Seyyid Abdurrahman in 1811, but a fire in 1867 destroyed the mosque and the foundation shops in the vicinity.
