
According to photos taken around the end of the nineteenth century, Karataş Mosque, like other mosques in Sille, has a flat roof. The mosque's roof was recently covered with zinc sheet, which was removed during the most recent repair, and the roof was rebuilt in line with its original state. Although there is no construction inscription, it can be said that the mosque was built in the 19th century according to the material used. The building can be dated to the 19th century, considering the other wooden mosques both in Sille and in Konya and its surroundings in terms of architectural elements and material” (Şimşir 2014: 313).
