
Kızılören Inn on the Konya-Beyşehir route is sometimes also called Yazıönü Inn or Emir Kandemir. The name “Kızıl” comes from a settlement located nearby; the name "Emir Kandemir" is taken from the person who is thought to have built the inn 900 years ago. According to the construction inscription found in the mid-1900s, photographed in 1941 and then unfortunately lost, it was built in August or September of 1206, during the reign of Kaykhusraw I, one of the Anatolian Seljuk sultans.
