Yaglibayat is a Tatar (Crimean Turk) village in the province of Konya, 76 kilometers from the center on the Aksaray road. The nearby settlement is known as "Savatra", which means "holy father" in ancient times. Savatra, an important ancient city with traces of settlement in the 4th century BCE, minted coins in its own name. This region was conquered by the Romans in 27 BCE. It is understood from the remains that it was prosperous in the Roman Period. The region was first dominated by Byzantium and later by the Seljuks, and in 1398, together with Konya, it came under the rule of the Ottoman state.
