Ayan Bey Mosque, the initial building of which is considered to date from Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad's reign, was reconstructed in 1834 by Ayanbeyi Memiş Pasha, one of Konya's most prominent families, and repaired by his son Süleyman Bey in 1896. According to the Turkish marble inscription on the entrance door of the building, which does not have an original inscription that has survived to the present day, the last repair was made by the people of the neighborhood in 1974.
