Bağdat Hotel was one of the Anatolian-Baghdad Railway's earliest hotels, opening in 1912 as the "Grand Hotel de Bagdat" just southeast of Konya Train Station. The historical Bagdat Hotel, known as the city's first European hotel, is presently located in Mamuriye Neighborhood, Mücahit Asker Street. The rectangular planned building, which draws attention with its architectural design, was constructed in masonry using cut stone.
