
Bozdağ was declared as "Mountain Sheep Protection and Breeding Area" in 1967. On September 7, 2005, it was registered as a "Wildlife Development Area". The area is located within the borders of Karatay, Selçuklu and Altınekin districts and covers an area of 59 thousand 296 hectares. In 2011, “Bozdağ Wildlife Development Area Management Plan” was prepared.
