
The length of the Göksu River is 260 km, and its basin area is 10,000 km². It has two branches which has approximately same length: The northern branch is Gökçay, the southern branch is Gökdere and the source of both is located in the Geyik Mountains of the Taurus Mountains. Geyik Mountains is between Antalya-Gündoğmuş and Konya-Hadim and 50 km to the north of Alanya.
