According to the inscription on its gate, the historical Wheat Market, located on Taşkapı Medrese Street in Karakurt District, was erected in 1901 by Konya Governor Ferid Pasha of Avlonya and registered as a cultural property in 1989. The east and west sides of the bazaar, which comprised of single-story stores and warehouses lined up around an irregular courtyard, had grandiose entrance gates built of stone and brick material.
