The Sultan Selim (Selimiye) Mosque is located on the side of the Mevlana Museum within the borders of Karatay. Its construction started during the reign of Sultan Selim I and was completed between 1558 and 1567. In the north of the mosque, there is the narthex with seven domes, which is supported by six columns, and a segmental arched gateway with a marble lintel. Domestic and international visitors visiting the Mevlana Museum are also in high demand for this mosque. The Metropolitan Municipality has been working on the mosque's rehabilitation in recent years.
